New Flicks from the "Cult" section of the virtual Video Store

idea

A novel in blog posts, each chapter title a band and song ala myspace.

I Love The Night-Blue Oyster Cult

I finally started reading Chuck Klosterman, Courtesy of The Boston Public Library, my alma mater. His first book came out when I was 18, so even though he is a Gen Xer, his work I suppose is reflective of my generation. What a different time 2004 was.

GHOULIES MARATHON

One of my all time  favorite movies. Awesome  underground  80s synth music in a breakdancing scene, obfuscatingly artful direction, actually accurate occult rituals, and A former  glam rock singer as the big bad. Secretly one of the best  films of the 80s, and for the last time it is NOT A gremlins rip-off.
A lot of people's favorite, great carnival setting, A giant ghoulie, and a song  by WASP.

They  went  full on comedy here, A ghoulies as three stooges take. Worth it for the college frat boy "Yank" (prank) wars and Matthew Lillard in his 1st movie sneaking  his way into the margins of the frame.
As A GHOULIES movie it sucks, as a straight to video Early 90s wtf cop/occult comedy horror you could do worse.
