Album Review By Blake Sidewalker

Album

Schizophrenic man records, by himself, an incredibly crusty indictment of the far right's rise to power, and its genocidal plot against the transgender community.

It's early Crass and Discharge meets Billy Bragg and Hank Williams as done by an oddball out of the New England Hardcore scene with an attention to ambience as done by Velvet Underground and Brian Eno with a nod to Darkthrone.

The songs are dark, brutal, chaotic, and haunting, recorded with the rudimentary fidelity of a snuff film. There are also plenty of brooding acoustic romps throughout for the listener who might be too squeamish about having their eardrums stabbed; some songs are spicy, some savory.

If you're ever curious about what's on the mind of one of the lowest rungs of American society, this album is for you.
